These are some of my favorite cookies. I mean, who doesn’t like sugar cookies?! When my little sister has a craving for some of these she runs around the house yelling, “I want sugar cookies! Make me sugar cookies!” Sometimes I roll the cookies around in cinnamon sugar and make them Snickerdoodles. Or roll in some fun sprinkles. Either way, this recipe is a keeper!
(Adapted from allrecipes.com, “Easy Sugar Cookies”)

sugar or sprinkles for rolling

3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
|Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.|
|In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, roll in sugar or sprinkles, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
