Butterscotch Crunch Bars

February 6, 2014 by Bekah 1 Comment

My parents were watching TV one day and happened to come across Best Recipes Ever on the Live Well Network. This particular episode was Easy Baked Treats and boy did she make some good looking yummies! The recipes from this episode can be found here, along with the full length episode!

We decided to try out the Butterscotch Crunch Bars first. These were absolutely delicious and the best part was that they were incredibly quick and simple to make! Plus they only have 4 ingredients! The graham crackers mixed with the rich, caramel-y almonds made for the perfect combination.

These bars are great for an easy and fast party snack or just to satisfy your sweet tooth. I am definitely keeping this recipe on hand. My little sister gave these an A+!

Butterscotch Crunch Bars
Original recipe from Best Recipes Ever on the Live Well Network
Makes 24 bars

Pretty yummy looking…right?
Just 4 simple ingredients…graham crackers, light brown sugar, butter, and almonds!
You just lay out the graham crackers like so, and you have perfectly pre-cut bars.
Finished product! I love how rich and caramel-y they are.
Butterscotch Crunch Bars 🙂

Ingredients

24 graham crackers
2 sticks of butter

1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 cups toasted sliced almonds

Directions

Place graham crackers in single layer on lightly greased 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan; set aside.

Toast the almonds in a pan for around 5 minutes on medium heat, or until you can smell them.

In saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in brown sugar just until combined. (Do not bring to boil.) Remove from heat; stir in almonds. Spread over crackers.

Bake in center of 375 degrees F oven for 10 minutes or until bubbling. Let cool completely in pan on rack for at least 10 minutes, then cut into squares.

Make-ahead: Bars can be stored in airtight container for up to 3 days.

Enjoy!
