Hi guys! Hope you’re having a wonderful Monday so far. So I know I am incredibly late to the party (as usual) but I saw this tag from Kristina Horner a while ago and knew I just had to participate. A few months later and here I am! π I saw the movie Inside Out in theaters with my pops and little sister Mia…who of course was our excuse to see an animated film in theaters, though poor Mia didn’t even want to go. Hehe. π We ended up all really enjoying it! I may have even cried a bit, which I hid at the time and then proceeded to tell everyone afterwards that it made me cry… smart move, I know. *shrugs*
Anyways, I love book tags and this one is fairly simple. If you’re interested in checking out more tags, here are the links to the 20 Things You Might Not Know About Me blog tag I did a long time ago and the Taylor Swift book tag I put together when I was a guest on Rissi’s blog, Dreaming Under the Same Moon. And without further ado, here is the Inside Out Book Tag! β
#1: JOY – Which book brings you the most joy?
I picked Fireflies in December by Jennifer Erin Valent because the Calloway Summers series is to this day one of my favorite series in the WORLD. I’ve re-read it so many times. Even though it’s not exactly a joyful series, it makes me SO HAPPY INSIDE. Because it’s just a really good story. And because book-Luke’s are the best. Read it y’all.

#2: DISGUST – Which book grossed you out the most?
Let me start by saying that this book in no way disgusted me, but because I couldn’t think of anything else and there were a few scenes in it that kinda grossed me out, I chose Playing Saint by Zachary Bartels. I remember this particularly grisly part that was describing a crime scene… *shivers*. Now that I think of it, this probably could’ve passed for “Fear” as well, LOL.

#3: FEAR – Which book scared you more than anything?
I choose Poison by Jordyn Redwood! I don’t read a lot of scary books so I don’t know if anybody else would think it’s scary, but I was majorly creeped out by this one. So much so that I have yet to finish it. I will…eventually…one day…hopefully soon…finish this book. When I gather the courage, of course. And not at night. π

#4: SADNESS – Which book made you cry the hardest?
I believe The Price of Privilege Trilogy is hands down one of the most beautifully told stories I’ve ever read. I adored them. But reading this conclusion was one of the most traumatizing reading experiences for me- I had never been affected so much by a fictional story in my life. I remember having to finish this book in the bathroom where the tissues were handy…and my family thinking I was completely psycho for crying over a fiction book! π’

#5: ANGER – Which book pissed you off?Β
I loved Divergent when I first read it. Like, LOVED. I told all my friends they needed to read it. Then Insurgent didn’t disappoint. But, ALLEGIANT. Are you kidding me, Veronica Roth?! Really? REALLY?! For those who have read the book, you know what I’m talking about. For those who haven’t, you’ve been warned. All I can think of now when I remember the Divergent series is Gwen Stefani’s song playing in my head, “I used to love you…”

Very cool! I haven’t read anything by Dotta yet. I will have to check out her books sometime. Thanks for the fun post!
Bekah says
Thank you! Ahhh, Jessica Dotta’s debut series is a must-read, IMO! Hope if you ever try them out, you enjoy. π Thank YOU for stopping by and reading! π
Rissi says
What fun. This is one flick I still need to watch, but it looks darling (such a neat concept) and I hear glowing reviews for it. I suspect if I ever read the Divergent books, I’ll have much the same reaction as you to that last book (I read spoilers because that’s what I do :D). I’m already dreading the last movie since I enjoy the films so much.
Such fun reading this tag, Bekah.
Bekah says
Thanks, Rissi! Yeah, it’s a really good movie- you should definitely check it out. π Oh my gosh, LOL! Laughing so hard at your spoilers comment. I read them too, despite everyone in my family constantly getting mad at me because according to them I have a “blabber mouth.” Oh well. π I’m dreading Allegiant so much too!! I am still seriously unhappy about the whole thing, even though it’s been a year since I read it.
Anyways, thank you so much for reading!! π
Mia says
HAHAHA! I was just going through your old blog posts, (cause I’m a stalker) and OMG the Allegiant description, LOL.”I used to love you..” SO TRUE!
Bekah says
High five, stalker friend!! XD
Zoey says
God, I can’t even tell you how much I agree with you about Allegiant.
I’m not even disappointed with this book, I’m ANGRY about it. So angry.
I pretty much pretend it doesn’t exist these days. I can’t even bring myself to re-read divergent with how much Allegiant had hurt me.
I found out your blog but searching the Inside Out Book Tag. Since I just watched the movie and remembered there used to be a book tag about it (:
So this is why you have here a comment from 2017 on a 2015 post π
Bekah says
Hey Zoey!
Yaaasss. I just pretend it doesn’t exist too and everyone has a happy ending, UGH. Ah, you GET me! Divergent may still be a favorite of mine, but I just can’t re-read it for the life of me!
I’m so glad you stopped by – your comment made me smile! Did you like Inside Out? You should do the tag – it was so much fun!
