There are so many awesome things about blogging. Creating dynamic content, making blogger friends, joining a community you wouldn’t normally be able to without the world wide web, sharing your hobbies and the little joys in life are just a few of the many perks. One of the more lighthearted and fun things to participate in the social media world are TAGS. I really don’t do them often enough, so when I saw Rissi tagged me for the Book Emoji Tag on her awesome Booktube channel, I headed straight here to start writing! By the way, if you haven’t already checked out Rissi’s Booktube or Blog, head over there. She makes such fun videos and writes beautiful reviews!
One day I’ll start my Youtube (I need to just stop talking about it and do it already) but for now I thought I’d write something up for this tag. If I understand the tag correctly (and that’s a big if) I believe you just pick your five most used emojis and pair a book to each one. I love my emojis, so this is especially ideal to start my journey to catching up on all the fun tags.
Thanks again to Rissi for tagging me and to the original tag creator Jellafy!
Let’s do this. *cue music*
1. Face with Tears of Joy Emoji (aka LOL) 😂
I chose A Charmed Life series by Jenny B. Jones for this 😂 emoji, because it’s one of the first series I ever read where I couldn’t stop laughing out loud. Thus began my obsession with all of Jenny B. Jones’ books. Anything written by her is a guaranteed good time. (I hope I am doing this tag right *anxiety*…)
2. Face Screaming in Fear Emoji (aka WHOA) 😱
First of all, I didn’t know that this emoji 😱 meant screaming in fear. Oops. I thought it meant “wow” or “omg.” Going along with that meaning, I chose Red Queen. I recently read this book after months of owning it. There were a couple times where I put it down and quite literally yelled, “MIND. BLOWN.” Many edge-of-your-seat moments are contained in this lovely read, which made this an appropriate match.
I know this might be cheating, but I had to include Storm Siren for this emoji-book pairing! Because this book is, simply put, WOW.
3. Loudly Crying Face Emoji (aka ALL THE FEELS) 😭
Another emoji that I didn’t know the meaning of. Oh well, both emotions actually work with this novel. I don’t think I have ever cried from a book as much as Price of Privilege. Like, ugly sobbing. That being said, I still consider it one of my favorites.
4. Heart Eyes Emoji (aka IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL) 😍
Confession: I have not yet read this book. But IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I literally think “heart” every time I see the cover. All I can say is 😍.
I loved An Uncertain Choice (and the rest of the series) so much I smile every time I see it. It’s gorgeous on the inside and out. Perfect companion to the heart eyes emoji.
5. Beating Heart Emoji (aka Spread the Love) 💓
This book. I’ve been meaning to read it again, and not only because it was extremely romantic and charming. It just made me smile, all the time. What more can you ask from a story? 💓
I read The Selection years ago and it still has a special place in this bookworm’s heart.
And that’s a wrap! Wow, I did not realize how many of my favorite emojis meant something different than I originally thought. Not only was this tag fun, but it was also educational in that regard. 😂 Really, though, this was SO MUCH FUN. I hope you guys enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed putting it together. I may have cheated a little, choosing more than one book for a couple of the pairings, but I took so many pictures and I couldn’t exclude any of them try as I might.
Anyways, thanks again for the tag Rissi. And THANKS everyone for reading! As for who I tag, YOU’RE IT! Have a great day.

Oh yes. 😭 When that phrase was coined, I would not be surprised if they had this particular series in mind. Ha! All jokes aside, thank you so much! I appreciate your lovely comment and visit to my little blog. Would love to see you participate in this fun tag, if you are interested! 🙂

This is so cute! I wish I had the personality to start a Youtube channel but it makes me too nervous. This was such a cute tag!

Thank you, Adriana! I love your blog name (if I haven’t already told you…) – it’s perfect! Me too, I get really nervous pre and post filming, so I’ve never actually gotten around to editing or posting. *facepalm* Lol! Thanks for stopping by and leaving this lovely comment. 🙂

THIS IS SO MUCH FUN, Bekah. Loved your spin on it. (And we use our emojis however they best suit our tweeting right!?? That’s all the counts!)
YAY for “The Selection,” one of my favorite series. And there’s “Red Queen” again. Looks like a great read indeed.
Oh, and I’m currently reading “Everything, Everything,” and it’s fabulous! Hope you enjoy.
..and if you ever do start that Booktube channel, don’t forget to let me know, girl! 🙂

Thanks, Rissi! For the sweet comment and also for tagging me! I had such fun putting this together. Next, I’ll try to do the Beauty and the Beast one. I loved your video for that awesome tag, too!
Yes, The Selection is great. I really need to give it a re-read, especially since I never finished the series. I did buy all of them, except for The Crown. I’m waiting for the paperback to release so I’ll have a matching set. You know how it goes. 😀
Oh, yay!! I am so happy to hear you are enjoying Everything, Everything. I *need* to read that one, just as soon as I’m finished with the third Nikki Boyd book. Thank you, I’m sure I will!
Of course. Thanks again for the fun tag! You’re the best. 🙂
