Happy Sunday, my beautiful readers!
Today’s post is going to be something very different from the norm for me. Thanks so much to the lovely Rissi (from Dreaming Under the Same Moon) for tagging me to do my very first blog tag, 20 Things You Might Not Know About Me. I’m super excited to get started… so let’s just get right to it!
Question 1: How tall are you?
I’m around 5’6″. Average.
Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
Well, I don’t know if this qualifies as a “talent”, but I can bend my pinky finger backwards all the way to my hand. I’m talented like that.
Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
When people make rude comments on other’s posts and don’t realize there is a person behind the screen reading them. Also when my sisters interrupt me while I’m writing my blog posts. Unfortunately, I am very easily distracted and cannot multi-task.
Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
Passive aggressive-ness, I hate having to read between the lines to figure out what people are really saying.
Question 5: What’s your favorite song?
I have way too much to pick a single favorite, but the songs on my “most-played” list right now are 1) Vagabond by Misterwives, 2) Boom Clap by Charli XCX, 3) All About That Bass by Megan Trainor, 4) Distance by Christina Perri ft. Jason Mraz, 5) C.S. Lewis Song by Brooke Fraser, and 6) Be Okay by Oh Honey.
Question 6: What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?
I don’t shop on Etsy, so…
Question 7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
Reading, baking, binge-watching tv shows, and writing in my journal. Basically hiding from the sun.
Question 8: What’s your favorite junk food?
This is going to be bad since I will be listing a whole bunch of junk. Here it goes– ice cream, starburst, sour straws (strawberry), chocolate, sun chips, izze soda, chocolate, cheesecake, frappuccinos (of the chocolate variety), chocolate covered pretzels, popcorn, and chocolate. Pretty much anything containing sugar. Plus this list only scratches the surface.
Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
Not currently. After several fish disasters (in which they ended up dead), we’ve decided that we’re not pet material.
Question 10: What are your number one favorite nonfiction and fiction books?
Ugh! This is too hard, how in the world am I supposed to pick one favorite?! Some favorites that I always come back to in fiction are 1) The Last Sin Eater by Francine Rivers, 2) The Scarlet Pimpernel by Emma Orczy, 3) The Pearl Maiden by H. Rider Haggard, and recently 4) Born of Persuasion by Jessica Dotta and 5) Divergent by Veronica Roth. A couple of non-fiction favorites are 1) The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom and 2) Psalm 91 by Peggy Joyce Ruth.
Question 11: What’s your favorite beauty product?
My all-time favorite mascara is Lancome’s Hypnose Star but it is way too expensive to buy on a regular basis, so my favorite staple products are L’Oreal Bare Naturale mascara and Pur Mineral’s 4-in-1 Mineral Foundation.
Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
I’ve been embarrassed so many times I can’t even remember the last one. I can tell you that I embarrassingly injure myself on a regular basis. For example, twice I slammed my own head on a car door while trying to close it, instead of getting burned from the oven (like normal people) I get burnt using the toaster, and once I sliced my own finger trying to open a yogurt cup. Ok, I think I should wrap it up now. 🙂
Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Coffee. Of any and all varieties.
Question 14: What’s your favorite movie?
Again, this is way too hard to pick one so I’ll tell you my top picks of different genres. Romance: A Walk to Remember and Pride & Prejudice (the one with Colin Firth). Adventure: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Action: the Bourne movies and Safe House. Comedies: She’s the Man, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Kicking & Screaming.
Question 15: What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?
Umm, weird question. A loner, I guess? I was homeschooled. Lol! No but really, I wouldn’t consider myself as being in any specific “group”… I liked to involve myself in different areas.
Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Montana. Somewhere near Glacier National Park. Though I’ve never been there before, it’s my dream. Hahaha.
Question 17: PC or Mac?
Definitely Mac.
Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?
Well, since I have none of the above this doesn’t apply. Boring, I know.
Question 19: Favorite celebrity?
So hard, but if I had to pick favorites it would be JLaw (she’s hilarious and I want to be her friend) and Chris Pine (he’s just cute).
Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want be best friends with?
This is such a weird question. I wish I could be IRL friends with all the blogger ladies I talk to!
Wow, looking back at this I realized I sound kinda lame. Whoops. Keeping it real, I guess. I hope that you didn’t find this too boring to read… LOL.
I had so much fun writing this post and now I would like to tag all of you who are reading this! A couple of ladies I have in mind are Grace (from Fictionally.), Chelsea (from The Girl Who Loved to Write), Missie (from A Flurry of Ponderings), and Rena (from From Lace to Lashes). Link me if you participate so I can read your responses as well!
This blog post is a part of the ’20 Things You Might Not Know About Me’ Blog Tag started by April from Blacksburg Belle. She began this blog tag experiment to build community among creatives, help us bloggers to connect more and get to know each other better. This month’s topic is all about sharing just a little too much information about yourself. If you’d like to participate or want more info, check out the beginning post right here.

These were fun answers! I for one didn’t find them boring- you actually sound a lot like me! 😀 “Basically hiding from the sun.” That pretty much sums up my life (so bad, but so true!). And I think your talent is awesome- I definitely cannot do that, lol.
Thanks for tagging me, Bekah!!!

Thanks so much, Grace! I had a lot of fun writing up this tag and I can’t wait to read yours. 🙂 High five to indoor activities! 😉 Lol I don’t know about it being awesome since it’s pretty weird, but thanks! ;D

Loved reading this, Bekah – nothing doing with that lame comment, girl. 🙂
Yay for hiding from the sun. That comment rocks.
Brooke has a C.S Lewis song?? That sounds like something to look into. 🙂
I was homeschooled as well, but definitely more of the artsy type – I get that from my mother.
Chris Pine = CUTE. You got that right. 😉
Thanks a TON for joining in, Bekah. Glad you took part.
Bekah M. says
Haha, thanks Rissi.
Yes, C.S. Lewis Song is ah-mazing. You should definitely check it out!
Oh, really?! That’s awesome. Yay for a fellow homeschooler. Artsy is fun. I tried a lot of different things in high school– which is why I couldn’t figure out what to say! I guess I was a little artsy, nerdy, sporty, and a pinch valedictorian… lol.
Yup. *high five* ;D
Thanks so much for tagging me again! Had a TON of fun doing this one. 🙂

Hey Bekah!
Remember me? Inspy judge colleague? Yeah, that Miranda! Found your link at Rissi’s and decided to drop by. And, no, you’re not boring. At all. Loved learning more about you. Great post! 🙂
Bekah M. says
Hey Miranda!!
Of course I remember you! I was talking to my sister about how fun it was to judge for the Inspy’s just today. 🙂 Aw, thank you– it was really fun to write a “personal” post rather than my usual review or recipe. 🙂
Thank you so much for dropping by and leaving a comment. It was great to hear from you again! 🙂
