Happy Sunday, friends. This past week has been a long one for me and I haven’t posted a new recipe in what seems like forever. Partly because I haven’t felt myself, and partly because my dad has been bringing sweets from Weber Bakery in Chicago for us girls. Carrot cake, cannoli, kolaches, pumpkin pie… you name it. If I baked anything more, I’m pretty sure all of us would gain a few pounds! π
So running out of material to post, I decided to dig into some of my archives and share some of my favorite recipes that are good for the coming holiday season. These are recipes I’ve shared the last couple years and beyond. I hope you enjoy this list of sweet treats I put together! Hopefully soon I will share even more recipes. Anyways, click any of the images below to go the recipe!
This classic apple pie is a staple for Thanksgiving and beyond. And when topped with ice cream and caramel, impressive as well as yum!
~Healthier Alternative: Raw Apple Crumble Pie
If you enjoy “healthifying” your sweets, try this raw apple crumble pie! So delicious, plus it’s vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free. A sure crowd pleaser.
Cinnamon rolls remind me of the smell of the holidays, sugar spice and everything nice! Bonus- adding cinnamon cheesecake to the mix. A must try.
3. Mini Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting
These are not only cute and dainty, they’re also moist and delicious! The maple cream cheese frosting is pretty bomb. And the candied walnuts give it that added wow-factor.
Leftover eggnog from the holidays? Or maybe you’re just getting started. π Make these soft and easy eggnog sugar cookies for a different, holiday twist!
Ahh. One of my favorite recipes to this day. I’ve made this very pretty looking cake at least half a dozen times for parties. Everyone always loves it!
6. Carrot Cake
Carrot cake is one of those cakes that can be made any time of the year, but I especially love making it around Thanksgiving. It’s perfect because of the spice and nuts and all-around yumminess.
~Healthier Alternative: Raw Carrot Cake
Again, if you’re looking for a healthier version- this raw carrot cake is a must try. Much stronger than the baked kind, but it’s vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar free. And the “frosting”? Amazin’.
7. Extra Crumb Cinnamon Struesel Sour Cream Coffee Cake
This was one of my first posted recipes on my blog, but to this day it’s still quite popular. My favorite coffee cake, hands down. Perfect for those chilly mornings! Plus it make a BIG cake so you can share.
8. Pumpkin Roll
Pumpkin rolls are another classic for this time of year. I’ve made this go-to recipe for going on 10 years…which is half my life. π
These are cute, yummy, AND healthy! Gluten free.
Another blog favorite! These are SO GOOD, you guys. If you like pumpkin and oreos, you MUST try these truffles. So cute and perfect for giving…or keeping since you might eat them all, like me.
11. Apple Cake
I LOVE this apple cake recipe. Another one I bring to parties and family gatherings! Delicious caramel icing just tops the cake. π
11. Soft Pumpkin Spice Cookies
Soft and full of spice. These pumpkin cookies are topped with a sour cream and cream cheese frosting. When my grandpa was in the hospital I brought these to his nurses. They loved them!
12. Cinnamon Roll Skillet Cake
A quick recipe made with store bought biscuit dough and quick cream cheese icing! Made in a skillet, this recipe is great for those cozy winter mornings.
A classic cookie great for this time of year. This is my fave recipe.
14. Caramel Apple Blondie Cheesecake
Intensely amazing! It takes some time to put together, but this one will be sure to impress. It’s decadent and it is GOOD.
Love cream cheese kolachky for the holidays! This is my go-to recipe, one I’ve been using since I was 12 years old. Love these cookies.
Thanks so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this list of sweet treats. Now it’s your turn. Do you have any holiday staple desserts you make or buy? What is your favorite treat this time of year? β₯

I typically make the pumpkin roll over pie for our holiday. I don’t mind pumpkin pie, but I guess I’d rather have a slice of apple or three-fruit pie. Both are favorites over pumpkin. This year, I found a maple pumpkin roll; it’s a little variation that might be fun to make for our holiday instead of the standard “Libby’s recipe.” π
PS; your new header is ADORBS! π

I definitely prefer a pumpkin roll over pie as well! I’m the same- don’t mind pumpkin pie but it’s not my absolute favorite. Wow, maple sounds interesting! That is a really good idea. I love maple, so adding it to anything automatically makes it ten times better in my eyes. Lol! Aw, thanks so much! My little sister Mia just made it the other day…so grateful I have an aspiring artist in the family. π Thanks again! π
